Detailed low-spin spectroscopy of 65Ni via neutron capture reaction
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 64Ni(n, γ), E=thermal; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ) using FIPPS array of eight HPGe clovers at ILL, Grenoble. 65Ni; deduced levels, J, π, multipolarities, mixing ratios; calculated potential-energy surfaces of 65Ni in (Q0, Q2) plane for different excited states. Comparison with Monte Carlo shell-model (MCSM) calculations, predicting spherical shapes for most states, with the exception of first 9/2+ and second 1/2- states of oblate deformation.
