Doppler-shift attenuation lifetime measurement of the 36Ar 2+1 level
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(36Ar, 36Ar'), E=63 MeV; measured Eγ, (12C)γ-coin, half-life of the first 2+ state by Doppler-shift attenuation method (DSAM) following low-energy Coulomb excitation using TIGRESS spectrometer and PIN diode detectors at TRIUMF-ISAC facility. Carbon target backed with 197Au. 36Ar; deduced level, B(E2) for the first 2+ state, and compared with previous experimental data, and with shell-model calculations using USDB interaction.
