Superdeformation and α-cluster structure in ³⁵Cl

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²C(²⁸Si, pα)³⁵Cl, E=110 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO), level half-lives by DSAM using INGA array at IUAC, Delhi facility. ³⁵Cl; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarity, superdeformed band, B(E2), B(E1), configuration, average transition quadrupole moment and deformation parameter for SD band, alignment plot. Comparison with large-scale shell model calculations. Correlation of theoretical spectroscopic factors for SD band members in ³⁵Cl with those of ³⁶Ar.
