Level structure of 31S: From low excitation energies to the region of interest for hydrogen burning in novae through the 30(p, γ)31S reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 28Si(α, n), E=22 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γ(θ) using Gammasphere array at ATLAS-ANL facility. 31S; deduced levels, J, π, comparison with level structure in mirror nucleus 31P, mirror energy differences. Comparison with shell model calculations. Relevance for the 30P(p, γ)31S reaction in ONe novae environments.
