Transition to the "island of inversion": Fast-beam γ-ray spectroscopy of 28, 30Na
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 197Au(28Na, 28Na'), E=43.1 MeV/nucleon; 197Au(30Na, 30Na'), E=55.6 MeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ, (particle)γ-coin following projectile Coulomb excitation. 28,30Na deduced transitions, excitation cross sections, intrinsic quadrupole moments. 31Na analyzed data; deduced ground-state configuration features.

Coulomb excitation of 29, 30Na: Mapping the borders of the island of inversion
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 104Pd(29Na, 29Na'), (30Na, 30Na'), E=2.85 MeV/nucleon; 120Sn(30Na, 30Na'), E=2.85 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 29,30Na beams from U(p, X), E=1.4 GeV primary reaction]; measured Eγ, Iγ, scattered particle spectra, γγ-, (particle)γγ-coin using MINIBALL array, REXEBIS and Penning trap system at REX-ISOLDE-CERN facility. Coulomb excitation, GOSIA analysis. 29,30Na; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), B(M1), intruder admixtures, island of inversion. 104Pd; deduced level, excitation yield; used for normalizing data for 29Na.
