High-spin states in ²⁹Al and ²⁷Mg

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁸O(¹⁴C, 2np), (¹⁴C, nα), E=40 MeV; measured proton and α spectra using ΔE-E telescope, Eγ, Iγ, pγγ-, αγγ-coin using Florida State University Compton suppressed γ-detector array. ²⁷Mg, ²⁹Al; deduced levels, J, π. Comparison with shell model calculations using USDA interaction.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE ²⁷Mg, ²⁹Al; calculated levels, J, π, occupancies of 1s-0d orbitals, neutron decay widths for low- and high-spin unbound states, spectroscopic factors. Shell-model calculations using the USDA interaction, and the WBP-a interaction. Comparison with experimental data.
