β-delayed proton emission from 26P and 27S

RADIOACTIVITY 26P, 27S(β+p), (β+2p)[from 9Be(32S, X), E=51.3 MeV/nucleon using ACCULINNA fragment separator at FLNR-Dubna facility]; measured E(p), I(p), (implants)(proton), β+p and β+2p events using gaseous optical time projection chamber (OTPC) detector, half-lives; deduced branching ratios for β+p and β+2p decay modes. 27P; deduced levels, J, π. Comparison of decay branching ratios and half-lives with previous experimental values. Discussed γ-to-proton emission probability ratio Γγp relevant to 26Si(p, γ)27P reaction rate.

β-decay spectroscopy of 27S

RADIOACTIVITY 27S(EC), (β+), (β+p)[from 9Be(32S, X), E=80.6 MeV/nucleon]; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ, Ep, Ip, pγ-coin, T1/2 of 27S decay using double-sided silicon strip detectors for particle identification, and HPGe detectors for γ detection at HIRFL, Lanzhou. 27P; deduced levels, J, π, β+ and ϵ feedings, logft, B(GT), mass excess, Q value of 27S decay. Comparison with shell model calculations using universal sd (USD) Hamiltonian, and with the structure of mirror nucleus 27Na. Relevance to nuclear physics input for accurate modeling of nova and x-ray burst observables.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(32S, X)22Na/23Mg/24Al/25Si/26P/27S, E=80.6 MeV/nucleon; measured two-dimensional identification plot of ΔE versus TOF for the reaction products using RIBLL1 separator at HRIFL, Lanzhou facility. 26Si(p, γ), E=0, 318, 762 keV; deduced resonance parameters, S factor at zero energy, and thermonuclear reaction rate. Comparison with experimental data, and literature values.
