High precision measurement of the half-life of the 391.6 keV metastable level in 239Pu
RADIOACTIVITY 239Np(β-)[from 239U(β-) obtained after irradiation of 238U with neutrons at TRIGA Mark II reactor (Padova)]; measured decay products, Eβ, Iβ, ce, x-ray spectra, Eγ, Iγ, βγ-coin. 239Pu; deduced T1/2 of the 7/2- 391.6 keV level. Half-life extracted from time differences between β- (trigger event) and IC/γ (delayed event). GeSparK setup - liquid scintillation coupled to HPGe detector. Comparison to previous experimental value.
