Collectivity of ¹⁹⁶Po at low spin

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹¹³Cd(⁸⁶Kr, 3n), E=382 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, half-lives using the recoil distance Doppler-shift technique. ¹⁹⁶Po; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), transition quadrupole moments and deformation parameters. Comparison with configuration mixing calculations of angular momentum projected mean-field states.
