NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁴⁰Ca(¹⁵²Sm, 4n), E=805 MeV; measured Doppler-shifted Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (recoil)γ-coin. ¹⁸⁸Pb levels deduced T_1/2, B(E2), deformation, collectivity. Recoil-distance technique, Gammasphere array, mass separator. Three-band mixing calculation.
