NUCLEAR REACTIONS 4He(14C, α), E=14.9 MeV; measured Eα, Iα, differential σ(E), partial α- and neutron-decay widths at FSU Superconducting linear accelerator facility. 18O; deduced levels, resonances, J, π, widths, reduced α widths. Multilevel, multichannel R-matrix analysis. Discussed rotational bands, and α-cluster structure with reference to those in 16O and 20Ne. Comparison with cluster-nucleon configuration interaction model calculations, and with earlier experimental results.

Investigation of the 14C+ α molecular configuration in 18O by means of transfer and sequential decay reaction
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(13C, α)18O*, E=65 MeV; measured recoil α particles and the two decay fragments 14C+α using an array of six charged-particle telescopes, Eα, Iα, (recoil)α-coin, αα-coin, invariant- and missing-mass spectrum, and angular correlation for the 10.3-MeV (4+) state at the HI-13 tandem accelerator of CIAE-Beijing. 18O; deduced levels, 14C+α resonant states, total widths, J, π, α-decay branching ratios, bands. Comparison with previous experimental results.
