NUCLEAR REACTIONS 4He(14C, α), E=14.9 MeV; measured Eα, Iα, differential σ(E), partial α- and neutron-decay widths at FSU Superconducting linear accelerator facility. 18O; deduced levels, resonances, J, π, widths, reduced α widths. Multilevel, multichannel R-matrix analysis. Discussed rotational bands, and α-cluster structure with reference to those in 16O and 20Ne. Comparison with cluster-nucleon configuration interaction model calculations, and with earlier experimental results.
