Measurement of the 169Tm(n, 3n)167Tm cross section and the associated branching ratios in the decay of 167Tm

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 169Tm(n, 3n), 58Ni, 90Zr, 169Tm(n, 2n), 94Zr(n, α), E=17.35, 18.34, 19.33, 20.32, 21.31 MeV, [quasimonoenergetic neutrons from 2H(d, n), E=15.0-19.2 at TUNL tandem Van de Graaff accelerator]; measured neutron spectra, Eγ, Iγ, σ(E) by activation method. Comparison with previous experimental data, compiled data in EXFOR database and evaluated data in ENDF database. Relevance to measurement of yield of reaction-in-flight neutrons at the LLNL National Ignition Facility (NIF).

RADIOACTIVITY 167Tm(EC)[from 165Ho(α, 2n), E=29 MeV at LBNL cyclotron facility]; measured Eγ, Iγ, I(x rays), source activity; deduced branching ratios of 207.8-keV and 531.5-keV γ rays. Comparison with previous experimental values and evaluated data.
