Octupole correlations in the structure of 02+ bands in the N=88 nuclei 150Sm and 152Gd

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 152Sm(α, 4n), E=45 MeV; 148Nd(α, 2n), E=25 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO), γ(θ, lin pol) using the AFRODITE at iThemba LABS, and JUROGAM II arrays at Jyvaskyla. 150Sm, 152Gd; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, bands, B(E1)/B(E2). Comparison of rotational frequencies with those in 220Rn bands. Permanent octupole deformation in first excited Kπ=0+ band. Comparison with Frauendorf's tidal wave model.
