NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴⁴Sm(α, 2n), E=26.3 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin γ(θ), and linear polarization of γ rays. ¹⁴⁶Gd; deduced levels, J, π, multipolarity, and two-phonon octupole excitations.
