Reflection symmetry of the near-yrast excitations in ¹⁴⁵Ba

RADIOACTIVITY ²⁴⁸Cm(SF); measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ) using EUROGAM2 array. ¹⁴⁵Ba; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, conversion coefficients, multipolarity, mixing ratios, bands, alignments. Systematics of yrast levels in N=89 isotones ¹⁴³Xe, ¹⁴⁵Ba, ¹⁴⁷Ce, ¹⁴⁹Nd and ¹⁵¹Sm. Comparison of level energies with quasiparticle-rotor model calculations. No evidence of octupole deformation in the ground state.
