Shears mechanism and development of collectivity in ¹⁴¹Sm

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹¹⁶Cd(³¹P, 5np), E=148 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γ(θ), γγ(θ)(DCO), γγ(θ)(ADO), γγ(linear polarization), level half-lives by DSAM using the INGA array at TIFR Pelletron Linac facility. ¹⁴¹Sm; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, mixing ratios, configurations, B(M1), magnetic-dipole rotational (MR) band; calculated contour plots of TRS calculations for two bands. Comparison with principal axis cranking (SPAC) model calculation involving shears mechanism. Systematics of spin versus angular frequency plots for MR bands in ^139,141,142Sm, ¹⁴²Gd, ¹⁴³Eu.
