High-precision half-life measurements for the superallowed Fermi β+ emitter 18Ne

RADIOACTIVITY 18Ne(β+), (EC), 23Ne(β-)[from Si(p, X), E=480 MeV, mass-separated 18,23Ne beams]; measured β using 4π continuous-flow gas proportional counter, Eγ, Iγ, βγ-coin, half-lives of 18Ne and 23Ne isotopes at TRIUMF-ISAC facility. Discussed rate-dependent and diffusion effects, and uncertainty analysis. Comparison with previous measurements. Relevance to superallowed Fermi decay.
