Fragmentation and systematics of the pygmy dipole resonance in the stable N=82 isotones

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹³⁶Xe(γ, γ'), E=8.0, 9.2 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ) at DHIPS facility. ¹³⁶Xe; deduced levels, J, π, partial decay widths, B(E1). Comparison with Quasiparticle phonon model calculations. Systematics of measured and calculated B(E1) strengths for pygmy dipole resonances (PDR) in N=82 isotones ¹³⁶Xe, ¹³⁸Ba, ¹⁴⁰Ce, ¹⁴²Nd, and ¹⁴⁴Sm. Discussed fragmentation of E1 strength.
