Level lifetimes and the structure of 134Xe from inelastic neutron scattering
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 134Xe(n, n'γ), E=1.5-3.5 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ), excitation functions, half-lives of levels by DSAM using a Compton-suppressed HPGe detector at the 7-MV Van de Graaff accelerator of the University of Kentucky (UKAL). 134Xe; deduced levels, J, π, 3- octupole state, multipolarities, mixing ratios, B(E2), B(E1), B(M1), and candidates for a complete negative-parity multiplet based on ν(1h11/2, 2d3/2) configuration. Comparisons with a vibrational description of the nucleus. Systematics of energy levels in N=80 isotones of 132Te, 134Xe, 136Ba and 138Ce.
