Transverse wobbling in an even-even nucleus

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 130Ba; calculated mixing ratios, B(M1, in)/B(E2, out), B(E2, in)/B(E2, out) for the two bands built on the πh11/22 configuration using constrained triaxial covariant density functional theory (CDFT) combined with quantum particle rotor model (PRM) calculations; analyzed angular momentum versus spin plots. Comparison with experimental data. Discussed transverse wobbling motion of a two-quasiparticle configuration in an even-even nucleus.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 122Sn(13C, 5n), E=65 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ- and (particle)γ-coin, γγ(θ) using GALILEO array of 25 Compton-suppressed Ge detectors for γ detection, EUCLIDES silicon detector array for charged particles, and the Neutron Wall for neutron detection at the XTU Tandem accelerator facility of INFN-LNL-Legnaro. 130Ba; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, bands, band built on a millisecond Kπ=8- isomer, multipolarities, mixing ratios, configuration, B(E2) ratios, (gK-gR)/Q0 ratios, alignments for the g.s. and Kπ=8- bands, moment of inertia for the 8- band. Systematics of energies relative to a rigid rotor for the bands built on the Kπ=8- isomers in N=74 isotones: 128Xe, 130Ba, 132Ce, 134Nd, 136Sm, 138Gd.
