Fast-timing study of the l-forbidden 1/2+ → 3/2+ M1 transition in 129Sn

RADIOACTIVITY 129,129mIn(β-)[from U(p, X), E=1.4 GeV, using General Purpose Separator (GPS) at ISOLDE-CERN]; Measured Eγ, Iγ, βγ-, γγ-coin, half-life of the lowest 1/2+ state in 129Sn by βγ(t) and centroid-shift analysis, fast-timing technique. Source was a mixture of three activities of 129In. 138Cs(β-); measured Eγ, time-response for calibration in the present measurements. 129Sn; deduced levels, J, π, B(M1), configuration. Comparison with shell-model calculations with an effective interaction from the CD-Bonn nucleon-nucleon potential.
