Probing nuclear structure of ¹²⁴Xe

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹¹⁰Pd(¹⁸O, 4n), E=80 MeV; measured Doppler-shifted Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. ¹²⁴Xe deduced high-spin levels, J, π, T_1/2, B(E2), B(M1), deformation, band mixing. Euroball IV array, recoil-distance technique. Comparison with interacting boson model predictions.
