Structure of the pygmy dipole resonance in ¹²⁴Sn

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²⁴Sn(α, α'), E=136 MeV; measured Eγ, Eα, αγ-coin, αγ(θ) using Big-Bite magnetic Spectrometer at KVI facility; deduced pygmy dipole resonances, levels, differential σ. Comparison with B(E1) strengths in (γ, γ'). Comparison with quasiparticle-phonon model calculations and relativistic quasiparticle random-phase approximations.
