Spectroscopy of 10N with the invariant-mass method

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(13O, 10N), E=65.4 MeV/nucleon; 9Be(9C, 10N), E=68 MeV/nucleon; measured charged particles, p(9C)-coin using the High Resolution Array (HiRA) of 14 ΔE-E (Si-CsI(Tl)) telescopes at NSCL-MSU facility; deduced invariant-mass distributions of the p+9C produced following knockout of one proton and two neutrons from 13O, and from one proton pickup from 9C, decay-energy distributions obtained from p+9C coincidences in the two experiments, with contamination from p+10C, p+11C and 2p+9C events. 10N; deduced level, resonance, L-value, J, π, Γ using R-matrix analysis. Comparison of resonance energy and width with theoretical models, and with predictions from complex scaling and Gamow shell model calculations.
