Continuum spectroscopy with a 10C beam: Cluster structure and three-body decay

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Be, C(10C, X), E=10.7 MeV/nucleon; measured fragment spectra, σ(θ), proton-proton angular correlations, widths, σ, energy distributions of diproton, sequential two-proton, 2p+2α, p+3α and other cluster particle-decay modes from ground and excited resonant states. 10B, 10C, 13N; deduced levels, J, π, resonances, particle decay modes. Resonance-decay spectroscopic techniques. Monte Carlo analysis of energy distributions. Comparison with two-proton decay modes from 6Be and 45Fe.

Investigations of three-, four-, and five-particle decay channels of levels in light nuclei created using a 9C beam

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(9C, X), E=70 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 9C beam from 9Be(16O, X), E=150 MeV/nucleon primary beam]; measured particle spectra using HiRA array, angular correlations between the particles in particle-decay channels. 8Be, 7,8,9B, 8,10C; deduced levels, width, J, π, isospin, branching ratios, excitation spectra of outgoing particles from many-particle decays of ground and excited states.
