Mirror symmetry at mass A=54: E4 effective charges near doubly magic ⁵⁶Ni

RADIOACTIVITY ⁵⁴Ni(IT), (p) [from ⁹Be(⁵⁸Ni, X)⁵⁴Ni, E=75 MeV/nucleon]; measured decay products, Ep, Ip; deduced proton energies, B(E2), B(E4), partial level scheme, effective charges for E4 transitions, T_1/2. Comparison with shell model calculations. The active target and time projection chamber (ACTAR TPC) in an experiment conducted at the Grand Accelerateur National d'Ions Lourds (GANIL).
