First β-decay spectroscopy of 135In and new β-decay branches of 134In

RADIOACTIVITY 134,135In(β-), (β-n), (β-2n)[from Ta(p, X), E=1.4 GeV at the ISOLDE-CERN facility, followed by selective ionization using Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS), and separation by mass-to-charge ratio using a General Purpose Separator (GPS), finally transported to ISOLDE Decay Station (IDS)]; measured Eγ, Iγ, β radiation, βγ-, βγγ- and γγ-coin, %β-n or Pn, %β-2n or P2n, T1/2 of decays of 134,135In, T1/2 of levels by βγγ(t) using plastic scintillator for β radiation, four HPGe Clover detectors and two LaBr3(Ce) crystals for γ radiation. 132,133,134,135Sn; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), configurations. 134In; deduced ground state J, π from Gamow-Teller β transitions and shell-model predictions. 135In; searched for expected β--decaying isomer, but no evidence found. 135In(β-3n); searched for β-3n decay mode as expected, but low statistics prevented confirmed observation. Comparison of level structures of 134,135Sn with shell-model calculations. 134,135In; comparison of experimental and theoretical predictions of Pn and P2n values in QRPA, QRPA+HF, RQRPA and effective density model (EDM) calculations. Comparison with previous experimental results.
