Experimental evidence for low-lying quadrupole isovector excitation of ²⁰⁸Po

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁴Pb(¹²C, ⁸Be), E=62 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ, γ-γ-coin. ²⁰⁸Po; deduced γ-ray energies and intensities, level lifetimes, B(E2), B(M1) using the Doppler-shift attenuation method.
