Underground experimental study finds no evidence of low-energy resonance in the 6Li(p, γ)7Be reaction
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 6Li(p, γ)7Be, (p, α)3He, E=80-400 keV; measured Eγ, Iγ, Eα, Iα, 3He using an HPGe detector for γ rays and a Si detector for particles at the Gran Sasso Laboratory for Underground Nuclear Astrophysics (LUNA); deduced σ(E), astrophysical S(E) factors, and astrophysical reaction rates for the 7Li(p, γ) reaction, no evidence for a reported resonance at 195 keV, corresponding to a positive-parity state in 7Be. Comparison with previous experimental results, and NACRE data. R-matrix fit of the present and earlier experimental data.
