Shape Changes in the N = 28 Island of Inversion: Collective Structures Built on Configuration-Coexisting States in ⁴³S

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁹Bi(⁴³S, ⁴³S'), E=76 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ. ⁴³S; deduced γ-ray energies and intensities, J, π, B(E2) strengths. Comparison with SDPF-U and SDPF-MU shell-model calculations.
