Investigation of signature inversion in ¹²⁶I through lifetime measurements

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²⁴Sn(⁷Li, 5n)¹²⁶I, E=50 MeV from the Pelletron accelerator at the IUAC-New Delhi; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, level half-lives by DSAM using an array of 15 Compton-suppressed HPGe Clover detectors. ¹²⁶I; deduced levels, J, π, bands, B(E2), B(M1), transition quadrupole moments, configurations. Comparison with two quasiparticle-plus triaxial rotor model calculation.
