Measurement of the 2+1 level lifetime in 120Sn by the Doppler shift attenuation method: Evidence of enhanced collectivity

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 120Sn(32S, 32S')120Sn*, E=120 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ) using enriched target and INGA array of 11 Compton-suppressed HPGe detectors, half-life of the first 2+ level in 120Sn from DSAM at the BARC-TIFR Pelletron LINAC facility. 120Sn; deduced level, B(E2) for the first 2+ state, enhanced collectivity, anharmonic nature of quadrupole vibrations; compiled experimental B(E2) values for the first 2+ states in 112,114,116,118,120,122,124Sn.
