Nuclear structure of 76Ni from the (p, 2p) reaction
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(77Cu, 2p), (77Cu, X)76Ni/77Cu/78Cu/79Cu/79Zn/80Zn/81Ga, E=229 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 77Cu beam from 9Be(238U, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon primary reaction]; measured yields of reaction products, Eγ, Iγ, γγ- and (recoils)p-coin using DALI2 array of NaI(Tl) detectors for γ detection, and ZeroDegree spectrometer for recoil identification, and MINOS device consisting of a liquid hydrogen target surrounded by a cylindrical time-projection chamber (TPC) at RIKEN-RIBF. 76Ni; deduced levels, J, π, cross sections to excited states in 76Ni, large Z=28 shell gap for nickel isotopes. Comparison with shell model calculations.
