Application of an ab initio S matrix to data analysis of transfer reactions to the continuum populating ¹¹Be

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹Be(¹⁸O, ¹⁶O)¹¹Be, E=84 MeV; measured reaction products, ¹⁶O ejectiles; deduced differential cross section. Results compared to an ab initio no-core shell model calculation for continuum states. ¹¹Be; deduced levels, wave functions of the n+¹⁰Be system. Experiment performed at the Tandem Van de Graaff facility of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare Laboratori Nazionali el Sud, Italy, using MAGNEX magnetic spectrometer to momentum analyze ¹⁶O particles.
