Lifetimes and transition probabilities for the low-lying states in 131I and 132Xe

RADIOACTIVITY 131mTe[from 238U(α, F), E=40 MeV]; 132I(β-)[from decay of 132Te formed in 238U(α, F), E=40 MeV]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, level half-lives by γγ(t) fast-timing method, and half-life of 1797-keV nanosecond isomer in 131I by slope method using the VENTURE array of CeBr3 scintillators and VENUS arrays of six Compton-suppressed Clover HPGe detectors at the K-130 cyclotron facility of VECC, Kolkata. 131I, 132Xe; deduced levels, J, π, configurations, B(E1), B(E2), B(E3). Systematics of E1 decays from 11/2- levels in 121,123,125,127,131I, and 13/2- and 15/2- levels in 129Sb, 131,133I. Comparison with large-basis shell model calculations using the NUSHELLX code.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 131I, 132Xe; calculated levels, J, π, dominant particle partitions, configurations, and level half-lives using the large-basis shell model (LBSM) with the NUSHELLX code. Comparison with experimental data.
