Low-lying electromagnetic transition strengths in 180Pt

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 98Mo(86Kr, 4n), E=380 MeV from the K-130 cyclotron of University of Jyvaskyla; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin using JUROGAM II array, level half-lives by recoil-distance Doppler-shift method (RDDM) using DPUNS plunger, and differential decay-curve analysis. 168Yb(16O, 4n), E=88 MeV from FN tandem at University of Cologne; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ(t), level half-lives by fast electronic timing technique using Horus cube spectrometer consisting of eight LaBr3(Ce) scintillators and eight HPGe detectors. 180Pt; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2). Comparison with predictions of interacting boson model (IBM-1) and general collective model (GCM) calculations.
