Measurement of key resonances for the 24Al(p, γ) 25Si reaction rate using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(26Si, 25Si), E=118 MeV/nucleon; 9Be(25Al, 25Si), E=111 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 25Al and 26Si beams from 9Be(36Ar, X), E=150 MeV/nucleon primary reaction, and using A1900 fragment separator]; measured reaction products, yields, Eγ, Iγ, γγ- and (particle)γ-coin using S800 spectrograph for particles, and the CAESAR and SeGA arrays for γ detection at NSCL-MSU. 25Si; deduced levels, J, π, and γ-decay branching ratios, and compared with experimental levels for mirror nucleus 25Na, and with USDB+CD shell-model calculations. 24Al(p, γ)25Si, T=0.1-10 GK; calculated astrophysical reaction rates using the experimental states and states from charge-dependent USDA and USDB shell-model calculations. Comparison with other theoretical reaction rates.
