Lifetime determination in 190, 192, 194, 196Hg via γ-γ fast-timing spectroscopy

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 178Hf(16O, 4n)190Hg, E=87 MeV; 184W(12C, 4n)192Hg, E=66 MeV; 186W(12C, 4n)194Hg, E=64 MeV; 197Au(p, 2n)196Hg, E=17 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, level half-lives of first 2+ and 4+ states in 190,192,194,196Hg, first 7- in 192Hg, first 9- in 194Hg and first 5- in 196Hg by γγ-coin fast-timing technique using HORUS array and LaBr3(Ce) detectors at the Cologne University Institute of Nuclear Physics 190,192,194,196Hg; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), B(E1). Comparison with theoretical calculations using interacting boson model configuration mixing (IBM-CM), and interacting boson model-2 (IBM-2). Systematics of excitation energies of yrast states, E(first 4+)/E(first 2+) ratios, and B(E2) for first 2+ and 4+ states in A=172-204 Hg isotopes.
