Cross-shell excitations in ³¹Si

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁸O(¹⁸O, nα)³¹Si, E=24 MeV; measured Eα, Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, αγ-coin using Gammasphere and Microball detector arrays at ATLAS-ANL facility. ³¹Si; deduced levels, J, π, configurations, radiative decays from neutron-unbound levels. Comparison with resonances observed previously in ³⁰Si(n, n) reaction, and with shell-model calculations using USDA and WBP cross-shell interactions.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE ^29,31,33Si; calculated levels, J, π using shell model with the WBP-b interaction. Comparison with experimental data. ³⁰Si(d, p)³¹Si; calculated single-neutron spectroscopic factors using the USDA (WBP-b) interaction, and compared with experimental data.
