Octupole correlations in N = 88 154Dy: Octupole vibration versus stable deformation

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 155Gd(3He, 4n), E=37.5 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin using AFRODITE array at the Cyclotron facility of the iThemba Laboratory. 154Dy; deduced levels, J, π, bands, B(E1)/B(E2) ratios, E1 transitions, level energy differences between the positive- and negative-parity bands, octupole deformation. Comparison with level-energy differences and B(E1)/B(E2) ratios in 150Sm, 152Gd, 224Ra.
