Evidence for coexisting prolate and near-oblate shapes at high spin in ¹²⁵Cs

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹¹⁶Cd(¹⁴N, 5n), E=65 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced γ-ray energies, J, π, near oblate band at high spins. Comparison the geometrical model, cranked shell model and total Routhian surfaces model calculations.
