Observation of the 2⁺ isomer in ⁵²Co

RADIOACTIVITY ⁵²Ni, ^52mCo, ⁵²Co(EC), (β⁺)[from Ni(⁵⁸Ni, X), E=74.5 MeV/nucleon using LISE3 separator at GANIL]; measured yields of reaction products with T_z=-1/2, -1, -3/2 and -2 by ΔE-E and TOF techniques, β particle and protons, Eγ, Iγ, half-lives of the ground state and isomer of ⁵²Co from (fragment)γ-correlated decay curves. ⁵²Co, ⁵²Fe; deduced levels, J, π, IAS in ⁵²Fe, β feedings, Fermi and Gamow-Teller transition strengths B(F) and B(GT). Relevance of ⁵²Co nucleus for the rp-process.
