Independent measurement of the Hoyle state β feeding from ¹²B using Gammasphere

RADIOACTIVITY ¹²B(β^-)[from ²H(¹¹B, p), E=40 MeV from ATLAS-ANL facility]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ) for the Hoyle state using Gammasphere array. ¹²C; deduced first excited 2+ and 0+ levels, β branching ratio to the Hoyle state in ¹²C, logft, indication of higher clustering for the Hoyle state as compared to previous results. Comparison with theoretical calculations using antisymmetrized molecular dynamics (AMD), and with previous experimental results.
