Neutron lifetime measurements and effective spectral cleaning with an ultracold neutron trap using a vertical Halbach octupole permanent magnet array

RADIOACTIVITY ¹n(β^-); measured half-life by the method of storage of ultracold neutrons (UCN) in magneto-gravitational traps (magnetic bottle) and measuring the loss rate of neutrons using the first-phase of 1.3-T Halbach octupole permanent (HOPE) magnet array aligned vertically at ILL-Grenoble facility. Comparison with value from Particle Data Group (PDG) evaluation.
