Proposed s =±1 octupole bands in 140Xe

RADIOACTIVITY 252Cf(SF); measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ) using Gammasphere array. 140Xe; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, s=+1 and s=-1 parity-doublet octupole bands, multipolarities, multipole mixing ratios, B(E1)/B(E2) ratios, octupole correlations, moments of inertia plots. Level systematics of 140Xe, 143Ba and 148Ce. 106,107,108,109,110Ru; observed γ rays.
