First observation of rotational structures in ¹⁶⁸Re

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹¹⁸Sn(⁵⁵Mn, 5n), E=260 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin using Gammasphere array at ATLAS-ANL facility. ¹⁶⁸Re; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, γ-branching ratios, bands, alignments, band crossings, B(M1)/B(E2) ratios, configuration. Comparison of B(M1)/B(E2) ratios with theoretical calculations. Systematics of level energies for πh_11/2νi_13/2 bands in ^{166,168,170,172,174}Re. Systematics of signature splitting for πh_11/2νi_13/2 bands in ^{166,168,170,172,174}Re, ^{164,166,168,170,172}Ta, ^{162,164,166,168,170}Lu.
