Search for octupole correlations in ¹⁴⁷Nd

RADIOACTIVITY ¹⁴⁷Pr(β^-)[from ²³⁶U(n, F), E=thermal followed by mass separation of A=147 fragments]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, half-life of ¹⁴⁷Pr ground state, level half-lives by βγγ(t) at OSIRIS-Studsvik facility. ¹⁴⁷Nd; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), B(M1), B(E1), B(M2), bands, electric dipole moment, single-quasiparticle configurations with nonzero octupole deformation. Calculated potential energy surfaces in (β₂, β₃) plane, and electric dipole moments.
