Evaporation residue excitation function measurements in ⁵⁰Ti- and ⁵⁴Cr-induced reactions with lanthanide targets

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁶⁰Gd, ¹⁵⁹Tb, ¹⁶²Dy(⁵⁰Ti, 3n), (⁵⁰Ti, 4n), (⁵⁰Ti, 5n), ¹⁵⁹Tb, ¹⁶²Dy(⁵⁰Ti, 2np), (⁵⁰Ti, 3np), ¹⁵⁹Tb(⁵⁰Ti, 4np), E=4.9 MeV/nucleon; ¹⁶²Dy(⁵⁴Cr, 4n), (⁵⁴Cr, 5n), (⁵⁴Cr, 2np), (⁵⁴Cr, 3np), 5.1 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, Eα and half-lives of the radioactive isotopes produced, σ(E) of evaporation residues (ER), (ER)αα-correlations, using MARS spectrometer at Texas A and M cyclotron facility. Enriched targets. ¹⁵⁹Tb, ¹⁶²Dy(⁴⁸Ca, 3n), ¹⁵⁴Gd, ¹⁵⁹Tb, ¹⁶²Dy, ¹⁶⁵Ho(⁴⁸Ca, 4n), (⁴⁸Ca, 5n), ¹⁷⁶Hf(⁴⁰Ar, 4n), (⁴⁰Ar, 5n), ¹²⁴Sn(⁹²Zr, 4n), (⁹²Zr, 5n), E(*)=35-60 MeV; analyzed σ(E). Statistical model analysis, and comparison with predictions of Bohr-Wheeler transition-state theory. Discussed effect of collective enhancement of level density (CELD).

RADIOACTIVITY ^204,205,206Rn, ^{204,205,206,208,209}Fr, ^208,209Ra(α)[from ¹⁶⁰Gd, ¹⁵⁹Tb, ¹⁶²Dy(⁵⁰Ti, X), E=4.9 MeV/nucleon; ^212,213Ac(α)[from ¹⁶²Dy(⁵⁴Cr, X), E=5.1 MeV/nucleon]; measured Eα, half-lives of ²⁰⁵Fr and ²⁰⁸Ra decays.
