High-precision half-life measurement for the isospin T=1/2 mirror β⁺ decay of ²¹Na

RADIOACTIVITY ²¹Na(β⁺)[from C(³⁶Ar, X), E=95 MeV/nucleon]; measured decay curves for positrons emitted by implanted ²¹Na ions, precise half-life at GANIL-SPIRAL radioactive ion beam facility; deduced ft and V_ud of T=1/2 nuclei. Relevance to the test of the conserved vector current hypothesis of the standard model. Comparison with data for decays of T=1/2 nuclei: ¹⁹Ne, ³⁵Ar and ³⁷K.
